How effective is advertising? #2
Over the past week, we have looked at multiple forms of advertising. A popular one seems to be product placement in movies. That one however seems to be mistaken. For me I hardly notice the products and am to focused on the movie. The advertising compaines put to much work in trying to get the product across that they seem to have forgotten that people are smarter than they look. I say that direct advertisng(posters) is a much better form. You actually focus on the ad and are able to comprehend what is going on in the ad. It works so that you are able to actually know the product and determine if you need it. As always the direct techniques work the best.

What about some specific examples from the film and from class discussions, etc to back up what you're saying? You're clearly engaged and well-informed about Media overall, just work on making your written entries more clear with specific examples :)
